The Honey Bear allows you to control the flow of liquid into a child’s mouth and encourages children to learn how to straw drink. It can also be used to transition from bottle-feeding to cup drinking. It also has a spill-proof lid.
If I could give this 10 stars, I would!
I never thought I would see my son drinking from a straw. This little bear is the best thing ever. His oral muscles have gotten so, so much stronger since using this!

This has been a huge success for us. I find the control of the liquid really easy, we started with thickened liquids and have moved to normal liquids very quickly. My son can now suck the straw himself which is a huge step forward for us.

Didn’t work for us - not even the model that has the flow that is controlled - over priced for what they are, and think that a better product needs to be developed in order to assist a child in learning to safely drink through a straw.
The caregiver also has to be cautious not to squeeze too much liquid by mistake or could inadvertently cause an aspiration even to occur.

My 5 year old daughter has severe feeding difficulties and is predominately PEG tube fed. We have tried multiple tools, techniques and therapists!
We use the HoneyBear bottle with thickened juice or water. I find it easy to use and control the amount of liquid I put in Brielle’s mouth with the straw. It will be a long time before she uses it independently, but it is an excellent therapy tool.
It comes with detailed instructions for therapeutic use. After using the HoneyBear, I’m interested to see what other devices TalkTools have for feeding and speech difficulties.

When I first opened the package I was shocked at the size of this I thought it was going to be bigger.
I lik the look of it and it’s easy to use. The blue colouring fades quite quickly.
Even though I initially thought it was a bit on the small side after seeing my daughter use it , It was infant the perfect size. She found it really easy to use and felt special whilst using it. I think she was proud not to keep spilling her drink.
At £7.99 it is perhaps a little pricey if it was £2 or £3 less I would definitely purchase myself.
