Designed specifically for children or young adults with moderate needs who still require pelvic stability but do not need the same advanced level of support as those with complex needs.
Hadley has this at school and it is great for standing transfers as it goes right down to the ground on the hi-lo base. It also looks a lot like an office chair in grey, which Hadley likes because it’s ‘like Grandad’s!’. The support and comfort is good and quality as expected (I have no idea on price as it was county funded). The downside we find however is that it’s big & heavy so pretty tricky to manoeuvre - which is a pain in a tiny class room. That’s my reason for the 3 star rating. Would love to see a chair like this with the carer handles redesigned so that they do not protrude so much.
