Childrite Therapy Chair

The Childrite seat is a support chair for special needs children. It has a high back with a wrap around style to provide support for your child to help strengthen their trunk muscles. The seat is a great option for many children who have special needs. It allows children to be on the floor with their family and peers, with a nice balance between stability and freedom and perfect for family and peer-level socialization.

I like this chair. My daughter has low tone and we use it to help her practice head control. It is good because it means that I can be hands-free in front of her, engaging her, rather that behind her providing sitting support.

However, because she doesn’t have good head and neck control yet, I would never leave her unattended, as there is nothing to stop her head flopping back when she gets tired.

Overall, has been great chair for strengthening her neck and improving head control as well as engaging in face-to-face play.

This chair varies a little from the Bumbo. The positive is that the leg slots seemed a little wider to better fit if your child had chunky thighs. The back support is a little higher also. My son needed blankets tho to be placed on his sides as they were too wide for him.

This is decent - however I think that it still lacks sufficient head and neck control for growing children.  I had to pair it with the GoTo seat to make it functional for our child.  I’m not sure I’d pay $200 for it new - it didn’t wow me… but if I found one gently used for $100 or less I might recommend a family gamble on it.
