Hi, My name is Miranda. I live with my husband, Joe, and our son, Jack, in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Our son, Jack was born full term in August 2011 at only 4lbs 12oz. My pregnancy with him was uneventful. Other than knowing he had clubfoot, we had no idea what we were in for. In the first few weeks we found out he has a chromosome malformation. A piece of chromosome 17 is deleted and a piece of 22 is duplicated and translocated onto 17. No one else on record in the world has this same change. Because of this, Jack has a heart condition, called Ebstein's Anomaly of the Tricuspid Valve, Laryngo-Tracheal Malacia (floppy airway), clubfoot, vertical talus, low-tone, etc. The list goes on. Jack is currently trached but we are nearing the end of his need for it and his first and only needed heart surgery will be this summer. Jack sits up by himself, but only for 20 minutes at at time. Also, he was beginning to stand assisted before his surgery on his right foot (vertical talus). We have high hopes that he will walk one day.
