Here’s a fantastic chance to really make your voice heard.

A parliamentary inquiry into childcare for children with disabilities is about to take place in the UK, and they want to hear from you.

We know a lot of the problems stem from the cost and availability of appropriate childcare but this is an opportunity to really investigate the issue and work out exactly what we can do about it.

Here are some of the facts we already have:

  • 66% of parents pay more for childcare for a child with a disability than their child without one
  • Families report paying up to £20 per hour for childcare for a child with a disability
  • Families of a child with a disability are 2.5 times more likely to have no parent working for more than 16 hours per week
  • Only 39% of parents agreed that providers could cater for their child’s condition in their area

Now the government wants to hear from organisations and parents about their experiences and their ideas for change.
