When you have kids you have this picture in your mind how perfect everything will be.

You never think you will sit at home one day and cry your eyes out cause no one, and I mean no one, understands what you are going through.

Finding support in family is not as easy as it sounds.

If they don’t have a child with CP they DON’T understand.

So what do we then do if we can’t talk to the people closest to us?

We start surfing the net for support groups.

Let’s start with the good:

I have found a few good pages on Facebook.

There are really good people out there in the world and they know what you are going through as they are in the same situation.

One kind word from them can brighten up your day.

It’s amazing how people can help each other even if they are on the other side of the world.

Everyone’s story is different.

Their cultures are worlds apart.

But one thing remains the same.

Their kids have CP.

They might not have the same kind of CP but they are going through the same things as you are.

They can give you great advice and you can share stories about ways to help your child or their child.

Or just to have someone to talk to.

To listen to the really bad day you had and how you want to run away and never come back.

They know how you feel as they have had those day as well.

These days it’s so easy to talk over the net.

You don’t need a computer anymore you just need a smart phone.

And most moms with CP kids don’t sleep much so you can talk till early hours of the mornings.

Or late nights.

Depends on where in the world you are.
