To celebrate Tesco's 20th anniversary in Northern Ireland, it is joining forces with Cash for Kids to raise as much money as it can to help disadvantaged children across Northern Ireland.

Each year Downtown Radio and Cool FM's charity - Cash for Kids - supports thousands of children and young people from birth to age 18 across Northern Ireland who are ill, disabled, underprivileged or simply need extra care and guidance.

This help and support is via grants to individual children, children's charities, community groups, schools and health organisations - and every penny which is raised in Northern Ireland stays in Northern Ireland.

Tesco Knocknagoney participates in a huge variety of fundraising activities throughout the year, and for 20 days it will be fundraising and collecting solely for the Cash for Kids charity - all the money raised during this time will be distributed to 20 Northern Ireland charities.

If you know of any charities that are doing amazing work to help children please let them know they can apply for a charity donation online at coolfm.co.uk/tesco, or get in touch with Cash for Kids at [email protected] or telephone 028 9181 555.

To kick-start this event, Tesco Knocknagoney will be holding a tea party in its store Community Room on Friday 14th October between 1-3pm.

They would love representatives from children's community groups and charities to attend.
