We all know that ageing is a natural part of life, but that doesn't mean we have to just sit back and welcome the wrinkles.

There are some things we can do to help us age better.

Here are five tips a tricks to try out to battle the signs of ageing!

1. Eat Healthily

Foods that are rich in vitamins help keep your cells healthy and can delay the aging process.

Fruits such as goji berries contain high levels of antioxidants, which help remove clutter from cells, keeping them healthy.

Aim to eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day if you can, but if that sounds like a lot, start by eating one or two portions daily.

2. Drink Water

As much as 75 percent of our bodies are made up of water, so try to drink around 8 cups (or about half a gallon) of it a day.

It will keep you hydrated, nourish your skin and even help keep your heart healthy.

A study carried out by researchers at Loma Linda University in California found that drinking five or more glasses of water a day can protect against heart disease.

3. Facial Exercises

Exercising the muscles in your face can keep them supple and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Facial exercises stimulate the production of collagen and elastin within the skin, giving it a smoother and more tighter look.

Face yoga expert Danielle Collins recommends that facial exercises should be done for 20 minutes, six times a week for noticeable results.

4. Apply Sunscreen

The sun is one of the biggest offenders when it comes to aging skin, so be sure to slap on the sunscreen every day when you're going outside.

Research sponsored by the Johnson & Johnson Research Center found that applying a good SPF 30 moisturizer daily can reduce pigmentation that is associated with sun damage.

It can also improve the texture, tone and appearance of fine lines.

5. Make Time for Yourself

Being a parent can be the hardest job in the world at times, so it's really important that you look after yourself.

Try to make time for a hobby or something you enjoy at least once a week.

It will lower your stress levels and enable you to be in good shape for taking care of your child(ren).
