Hello Everyone, Hope you are all well.

In this month’s blog post I thought we should talk Spring/ Summer!

As the weather warms it feels about time to update our look, shoving that long wool coat to the back of our wardrobe and rummaging through our tucked away maxi skirts and sandals to get us back in the summer spirit.

That’s why in this month’s blog post I wanted to share with you some of my top tips for updating your spring summer look without breaking the bank!

With these 5 easy tips you can add some oomph to your outfit and a spring to your step.

Tip 1. Add a colourful neck or head scarf

Colourful handkerchief scarves are everywhere at the moment and they are the perfect accessory to add a cute feminine touch to our outfits.

On your head, round your neck or tied to your handbag they can instantly brighten up your look and add that summer edge.

Whether you go for bold bright colours or a cute floral print, there is something available for everyone.

I personally love this Tropical Print neck tie from Zara (7.99) it works well with so many colours and gives a plain outfit a cute edge.

Tip 2. Swap your everyday grey and white T-shirt for bold and bright colours!

Mix up your casual wardrobe pieces by investing in a couple of bright and bold t-shirts.

These will add a fun pop of colour to your everyday skinny jean and converse combo but also create a bit more of an impact.

Look out for bright orange, yellow, red and pink and don’t be afraid to colour block or mix them up with some softer shades.

Tip 3.  Make a statement and add some funky earrings!

Earrings are huge this summer! Literally!

Add a touch of fun to your outfit by grabbing the brightest pair you can find.

Whether you wear them with a paired down white tee or a contrasting colour, they will bring your outfit bang up to date.

I’m in love with these red tassel earrings from H&M only £8.99. They are a bargain and are a great touch to add some sass to your capsule wardrobe outfits.

Tip 4. Brighten up and bag it up

Not feeling the above? You can always a touch of summer to your look by adding some bright accessories.

I personally love having a colourful hand bag; I think it is such an easy effortless way to add oomph to your outfit with minimal effort.

This cobalt blue bag from Mango has been my go to staple accessory so far this season. It goes with 90% of my wardrobe and always elevates an outfit.

Tip 5. Style it out in Statement Sandals

If you are totally understated in your sense of style then you can keep things very simple and swap your everyday converse for a cute pair of statement sandals.

With dresses, shorts or your trusty skinnies give your tired feet a breather and embrace the boho vibes!

Plus you can always add a cute red nail polish to brighten up those tired toes!

I love gladiator sandals as they go with so much of my wardrobe however you can always try out some sporty sliders or embellished ones too!
